Hotel Accommodations
Please make a reservation on your own. We are happy to help you find a hotel, if desired, although no special rate will be offered. Please be advised that there is no pick-up and drop-off service from your hotel to the conference site.
Important Reminder
If your presentation will be in English and you are not organizing a session, you can only submit your application as “Paper presentation on an Arbitrary Theme.” To do so, you must be a member of the Japan Society of Family Sociology (Annual fees: 7,000 yen for general member, 5,000 yen for student). If you are not yet a member,
visit here for the membership application. Please note that you must meet the following requirements even if you are already a member. We will contact you if you do not meet those requirements.
For those who became a member in 2014 or earlier: No unpaid annual fees
For those who became a member in 2015: Completion of membership application
*Session organizers of the “Thematic Sessions with Publicly Offered Speakers” may accept paper submissions in English. We will announce that in the middle of April on this website.
*All of the co-authors must meet the requirements above.
*You can submit your paper to one session only.
*Dates and times listed on this website are Japanese standard time.
Procedure for Paper Summary Submission
- After you completed your membership application, send your paper summary to the Help Desk of the Japan Society of Family Sociology (jsfs-desk@bunken.co.jp). Use the following Manuscript Template to prepare your manuscript. Each presentation time is 20 minutes.
Application Period：May 1-29, 2015
- Make a payment with Japanese yen in cash at the front desk of the conference site for registration fees (required), reception (optional), and lunch box (optional).
Rates for the 25th annual meeting of Japan Society of Family Sociology are as follows:
- Registration fees: 4,500 yen for general member, 3,000 yen for student
- Reception: 5,000 yen for general member, 3,000 yen for student
- Lunch box (by appointment only): 1,000 yen for one serving
